书接上回，李鸣吓孟达不成反被吓了一跳后，撑着椅子一时还不太反应得过来。孟达看李鸣这个样子，倒是没心没肺地笑了起来，李鸣看到孟达笑，刚才被吓时的惊恐一下子消散了一大半，孟达一边笑，一边断断续续地说：“老师，你不禁吓就不要吓别人嘛，这多不好呀，把人都吓死啦，哈哈哈哈哈哈。”李鸣的脸上顿时挂不住了，想赶紧开始找点事来做来掩饰自己的窘迫。李鸣找了半天，这才从抽屉里找出他昨天打印好的文件拿给孟达，说：“这是有关少年科技比赛的介绍和一些基础的科学知识，你好好看看，看完了再找我拿，我们尽快确定个课题，早点做好早有把握。”孟达听到比赛后才停止了笑，从李鸣的手中接过文件，开始仔细看了起来，孟达一页一页翻过去，眼睛在一行一行间跳动，李鸣看着孟达的样子，他不由得也想起了他当年的样子，想当年他也是这般的少年壮志，满腔热血，看着孟达，他不由得觉得当年未做到的事也许今日能做到了。
正当他怀念的时候，一声老师把他从回忆与憧憬中拖了回来，他还以为是孟达想问他问题，正打算接过来解答，孟达却说：“老师，我看完了，还有其他书吗？”李鸣一脸的不可置信，要知道这份文件里可不只是介绍，还有大量的基础知识，孟达这么快就看完了，他是不信的，“看完了，这么快？”孟达点点头，李鸣还是不敢相信，便随手翻开一页，指着一个知识点说：“那你给老师说一下这个地方是讲什么的。”孟达扫了一眼，说：“这是讲万有引力的，就是说我们现在站在地上就是因为有万有引力。”李鸣这下子算是服了，他不由得在心里感叹道真是一代更比一代强啊，现在的小朋友真是太可怕了。
